ams OSRAM’s 14-channel spectral sensor includes XYZ technology

ams OSRAM’s AS7343 is a 14-channel, highly versatile, multi-purpose spectral sensor that enables consumer, commercial, industrial, and laboratory applications. It is optimized for reflective, transmissive, and emissive measurements including color matching, fluid or reagent analysis, or general spectral reconstruction. The spectral response is defined by individual channels covering approximately 380 nm to 1,000 nm with 12+2 channels: 12 in the visible spectrum (VIS) to near-infrared (NIR) range, a clear channel, and a flickering channel.


  • Spectral response (12 channels) covers VIS and NIR ranges
  • Frequency range: approximately 380 nm to 1,000 nm
  • Two special use channels: clear channel and flicker channel
  • Integrated flicker detection senses ambient flicker at 50/60 Hz (can buffer data for external calculation)
  • High-precision optical interference filters deposited onto standard CMOS silicon
  • Built-in aperture to control light onto sensor increases accuracy
  • Programmable digital GPIO and LED driver to enable trigger/sync of light source and sensor
  • The device uses a serial I²C interface
  • Ultra-low profile package with dimensions of 3.1 mm x 2 mm x 1 mm
